  • While showering with your fresh tattoo is totally fine, you’ll want to avoid soaking it. This means no baths, swimming pools, hot tubs, etc.

Avoid direct sunlight exposure on your fresh tattoo. You’ll also want to make sure you are wearing sunscreen over your healed tattoos to maintain longevity of the design for many years!

  • While your tattoo is healing (for the first 2 weeks), you’ll want to make sure you are wearing clean clothes, have freshly-washed bedding, and keep your open wound away from any pets!

  • With a dry-healing method, you might notice some uncomfortable scabbing and flaking during your first couple weeks of healing!

You may want to apply a thin layer of a healing ointment like Aquaphor. If you find your tattoo itching or looking dry, feel free to apply a thin layer of a mild, unscented lotion. Rub the lotion in fully, you never a product sitting on the surface of your tattoo collecting bacteria.

  • To keep your tattoo looking good for years to come, make sure to wear sunscreen or cover up when exposed to the sun!
